John Warner is a silk-screening legend from Philadelphia, cranking out hundreds of cool posters that should replace a lot of the junk we see in art galleries these days.  Make sure to visit his website and buy a print or two if you're not living off ketchup packets.

Animal Heads from Chad Landenberger

This set caught my eye off of Chad Landenberger's Behance set, mostly because of the animals and color scheme--and the roaring ferociousness that they all evoke.  He includes just enough detail in each and turns a primal mood into a vibrant display of inaudible but captivating art.

Chad is from Jacksonville, Florida, and is available for freelance for anyone in the area. Check him out here, he does the works, or logos, print, & illustration.

Colorful Illustrations and Posters by Michael Wertz

Based in Oakland, California, Michael Wertz is an artist who pulls his fun, dog-focused illustrations and designs with vivid, bright colors possibly borrowing the psychedelic gig posters.  His drawing style is fun, and he's spot on with the colors and lively lettering.  He has a ton of prints available, including many of the ones featured in this post, for very very reasonable amounts on his online shop.  Be sure to check out his website for more.

Pretty Amazing Typography & Illustration by Run and Shout

Ok, so I've looked back at the first "typefunk" piece one time too many.  It has a very aesthetically smooth appeal, and has some really nice use of shading and curves that make it seem almost tangible like I could reach out and squeeze the internet ink out of it.  Run and Shout is Rodrigo Francisco, a 20 year old communication designer from Goiania, Brazil with a talent for illustration and typography.
